In June 1977, Bruce Fagan approached the Shire President and Shire Clerk of Hornsby Shire Council to discuss the future use of the property as a recreational and cultural centre to perpetuate the Fagan family name. Please note, no alcohol is to be consumed or taken into the park without Council’s written consent.
Is Fagan Park open during Covid?
Like the rest of the community, we are restricted during the lockdown and not in attendance at the Netherby Museums. The Park is open to the public and very popular for families, dog walking, and exercising.

When was Galston Gorge built?
DetailsConstruction of the Galston to Hornsby road via the Gorge commenced in 1891 and took almost four years to complete. Two McDonald truss bridges were built to provide vehicular access, costing £2,651. They were completed approximately one year before the road was opened to traffic on 9th March 1895.
