What is a PEP pill?
Post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) is medicine you take after you’ve come into contact with HIV, the virus that causes AIDS, to lower your chance of infection. PEP can lower your risk of HIV infection by 80% if you take it as your doctor prescribes.
