Initially, seven cinemas were planned, for Ayr, Bridgeton, Falkirk, Hamilton, Motherwell, Partick and Townhead. Of these, only three were ever completed: Ayr opened on 30th July 1938, Hamilton on 14th November 1938, and Motherwell on 3rd December 1938.
