Kenting is accessible via the HSR, or High Speed Rail which connects Taipei with Zuoying, Kaohsiung. The total travel time from Taipei to Zuoying (Kaohsiung) via HSR is approximately 90 min. After arrival in Zuoying, exit the station and head outside where there is a bus stop.

How to Travel from Taipei to Kenting
- Start your strip at Taipei Main Station 台北車站.
- Take the HSR high-speed train all the way to Zuoying Station 左營站 in Kaohsiung.
- From Zuoying HSR station, take the express shuttle bus to Kenting 墾丁.
- Note: the HSR (high-speed rail) does NOT go all the way to the southern tip of Taiwan.
How do I get from Kaohsiung to Kenting?
By far, the easiest way to get to Kenting from Kaohsiung is to take the Kenting Express Bus (bus 9189), which departs from Kaohsiung HSR Station, more commonly known as Zuoying Station. Although there are several buses a day, make sure to time your visit as waiting times can sometimes be up to an hour.
