How do you use Quadgrow?
Feeding & Watering Your Plants
- Add water to your Nutrigrow plant food bottles as indicated on the bottles.
- Once the top of the compost is dry to the touch (a few days to a week) fill your SmartReservoir with water and nutrients using the dosage rates below.
- DO NOT mix the nutrients together.
How much water does a Quadgrow hold?
30 litres
The Quadgrow Each container has a strip of capillary matting that draws water up from the reservoir. The water reservoir holds 30 litres / 6.5 gallons of water, which is usually enough to keep tomatoes in water for at least a week, sometimes two.

How big is Quadgrow?
NEW for 2019 the Quadgrow design has been improved and is now split into two reservoirs (which can be joined if required), with each reservoir measuring 24½” / 62cm long by 14″ / 36cm wide by 7″ / 18cm high and having a 15 litre capacity.
What is capillary matting?
A capillary mat is a mat made of felt (or other absorbent fabric) upon which potted seedlings sit. The mat absorbs water from a reservoir and the pots are able to draw a steady supply of water from it, absorbing the exact amount they need, when they need it.
What can I grow in a Quadgrow?
It’s ideal for growing tomatoes, aubergines, sweet peppers, beans, cucumbers, courgettes, peas and all tall-cropping plants. The Quadgrow automatically waters plants, keeping soil at the perfect moisture level, never too dry or waterlogged.
How do I keep my greenhouse plants watered while on holiday?
Clean it out and piece some drainage holes in the cap at the top. Fill the water bottle up and replace the cap. Turn the bottle upside down in the plant’s soil. The container will slowly drip out the water while you are away on holiday.
What can I use instead of capillary matting?
Cut Styrofoam to fit inside plastic tray, with about 1 inch on all sides to spare. Cut wool to fit Styrofoam but leave the wool long enough on two ends to hang down under so it can absorb the water. Use nails or tacks to fasten the wool to the Styrofoam. Place wool-covered Styrofoam in the tray, wool side up.
Can you reuse capillary matting?
Cleaning and Reusing Soak the Capillary Mat in a diluted bleach solution and rinse in clean water. Store the entire unit away from sunlight when not in use.
