Does TSA allow tools?
Tools 7 inches or shorter (measured from end to end when assembled) may be allowed in carry-on baggage. Power tools and all tools longer than 7 inches (measured from end to end when assembled) are prohibited in carry-on baggage; these items must be packed in your checked bags.

Can you take metal objects on a plane?
Yes, you can travel with steel and aluminium utensils on flight so long as the requirements of aviation security regulations are being met. The knives should however be less than 6 cm.
Can TSA detect powder?
Checked Bags: Yes Powder-like substances greater than 12 oz. / 350 mL must be placed in a separate bin for X-ray screening. They may require additional screening and containers may need to be opened. For your convenience, we encourage you to place non-essential powders greater than 12 oz. in checked bags.
Is Leatherman Raptor TSA-approved?
If you put it in your luggage it will go through. Just don’t put it in a carry on. Otherwise take a prepaid box big enough to ship it back to your self so that TSA doesn’t keep it.
Can you take multi-tools on a plane?
In general, you are prohibited from traveling with sharp objects in your carry-on bags. Multi-tools (multipurpose tools) with knives of any length are prohibited. Please pack these items in your checked bags. Multi-tools (multipurpose tools) with scissors less than 4 inches may be placed in carry-on bags.
Are trauma shears TSA-approved?
Trauma shears are allowed in checked bags. If the blades are less than 4in they can go in carry-on bags. Safe travels!
Are nail clippers TSA approved?
You can bring nail clippers and basic disposable razors as well. Flammable Items: Most of flammable items are an absolute no in both carry-on and checked baggage, but basic lighters are one notable exception: the TSA relaxed its ban on common lighters in 2007. However, matches are banned in checked baggage.
How much powdered formula can I bring on a plane?
You can pack more than 3.4 ounces of formula — and more than 3.4 ounces of water for babies, such as for mixing formulas powders — in your checked luggage and carry-on.
Is Swiss Card TSA-approved?
All of the Swiss Cards have a blade, scissor, or blade-like implement. Your only option would be to check it or selectively remove items prior to traveling with it as your carry-on. Otherwise you risk having it confiscated. However, there’s at least a decent chance you’ll get away with it.
