Verified VCDS User VCDS requires Microsoft Windows. A Chromebook uses Chrome OS, which is not Windows.

The minimum system requirements for the VCDS (VAG-COM) software are:

Desktop, laptop or notebook PC.
Pentium-3 (or equivalent) processor running at 1 GHz (or higher)
256MB RAM.
Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1 or Windows 10 (32 and 64 bit editions)
Approx. 100MB of hard disk space.
USB port.

Can you use FORScan on Chromebook?

Unfortunately, if you want to do anything meaningful with FORScan, you need Windows. It would be nice if more software developers made apps compatible with Chrome OS – I love my Chromebook! Unfortunately, if you want to do anything meaningful with FORScan, you need Windows.

Can I run Quicken on a Chromebook?

If you have a Chromebook that runs Android apps, you can run the mobile version of Quicken, available from the Google Play store. However, you need a Mac or PC to run the full versions of Quicken, Quicken Deluxe, Quicken Premier, etc.

Can you use Vagcom on Mac?

VCDS works fine on Apple Mac computers that have Intel processors (all modern Macs) when Windows is installed on them using Boot Camp. If you do not wish to install Windows, we now offer a platform-independent version of VCDS called “VCDS-Mobile”.
