Can I take painkillers with isotretinoin?
Accutane Instruction Sheet Take only Motrin, Advil or ibuprofen for headaches or joint aches. Avoid Tylenol. Do not drink alcohol while taking Accutane. Do not take any extra medication that may interact with Accutane.
Can I take isotretinoin with other medications?
Isotretinoin has no known severe interactions with other drugs.
Can you take Tylenol with isotretinoin?
We have always advised against the use of Tylenol while taking Accutane, and suggested the use of ibuprofen instead. However, during this pandemic, if you are on Accutane and need pain relief or a reduction in fever, DO NOT TAKE IBUPROFEN!
How do I stop my joints from hurting on Accutane?
Joint/muscle aches: If you need to take over the counter pain reliever we recommend using Advil (ibuprofen) or Aleve (naproxen). Avoid taking Tylenol (acetaminophen). Nosebleeds: Prevent by applying Aquaphor or Vaseline to the inside of your nose sparingly, or by using Ayr saline nasal gel.
Can I take vitamin D with isotretinoin?
No interactions were found between isotretinoin and Vitamin D3. This does not necessarily mean no interactions exist. Always consult your healthcare provider.
What can’t you take on Accutane?
Tell your doctor if you’re taking these medicines before you start treatment with isotretinoin capsules: supplements that contain vitamin A. tetracycline antibiotics such as doxycycline, oxytetracycline, minocycline, and lymecycline. other acne medicines (using both together may make skin irritation worse)

Does Accutane make your back hurt?
Low back pain is a very common side effect of isotretinoin and it is dose-related. Although sacroiliitis is a rare complication of isotretinoin, inflammatory back pain without sacroiliitis can be seen frequently. The patients suffering from back pain should be asked for drug usage.
Is accutane joint pain permanent?
Isotretinoin can cause pain in your bones, joints, muscles, and ligaments. It can also stunt the growth of long bones in teens, which could have permanent effects. If you have any of the following symptoms, call your doctor right away: new back pain.
