Due to climate, human beings’ genes adapted to change skin colour or type – usually race is defined by skin colour eg black or white but in the case of ‘gingers’ it is their hair and skin type – it’s a paler white but still identifies as a different skin type.

There isn’t such thing as Ginger haired people! I just think it’s very stupid for people to call red heads GINGERS! Only if brunettes and blondes are their own race. In other words, no. This all started with a South Park episode, and now a controversial rap or hip hop video that’s out.

By the same token, perhaps only a ginger can effectively rebut the argument that so-called gingerism should be considered a form of discrimination, or even a hate-crime, equivalent to racism or homophobia.
