Fury wasn’t actually a real tank from WW2 and neither was the story real. However, the movie did take heavy inspiration from real stories of both tanks and their crew that served throughout the war. There are five battle scenes that we see in ‘Fury’.
Is Fury worth watching?
This definitely is one of the best movies, not just war movies, that I’ve ever seen. I’ve always remembered it as a great movie, but I recently re-watched it, and I picked up so much that I’ve previously missed. I’m not even going to talk about the visuals and authenticity of this movie.
Is the movie Fury realistic?
Fury does show accurately how Shermans went into battle: spread out. And the film conveys the excitement of combat. The first time I was shot at in my life was that 88 round coming through the armor—totally mind-boggling. I could relate to the new soldier in the movie who six weeks before had been studying typing.
