Everest V3 is a Harvard Business School team leadership simulation, with each team comprising a group of five people. Each person on the team had a distinct role as either Leader, Physician, Marathoner, Environmentalist or Photographer.

Students play one of 5 roles on a team of climbers attempting to summit the mountain. During each round of play they must collectively discuss whether to attempt the next camp en route to the summit. Ultimately, teams must climb through 5 camps in 6 simulated days totaling approximately 1.5 actual hours of seat time.
How long is Everest simulator?
The simulation lasts 6 rounds totaling about 1.5 hours of seat time. In each round, team members analyze information on weather, health conditions, supplies, goals, or hiking speed, and determine how much of that information to communicate to their teammates.
How hard is Everesting?
“Make no mistake, Everesting is very hard,” warns Guy. “Physically demanding and mentally challenging, it’s a 20-24hr effort for most cyclists. Your legs can get you to around 6,000m in elevation gain, then your head needs to take over and force you up the final 2,848m when your body is screaming for you to stop!
