What is Grashanti?
Grah Shanti is a pre wedding ritual where pooja is performed to invite Lord Ganesha into the home to remove all obstacles and bring happiness and prosperity to the couple. The Navagrah(9 planets) pooja is also done to worship the 9 planets of the Vedic/Hindu Astrology.

What is a Mandvo ceremony?
The mandvo is a religious ceremony which is done from both sides separately, as the almost ‘prep’ for the wedding ceremony itself. Traditionally my side of the family are able to do this at home with very small numbers & family – for girls getting married, the mandvo can be done on the morning of the wedding.

Gol Dhana is basically the engagement ceremony, however, the term means coriander seeds and jaggery. It is apparent that these items are distributed at the event that takes place at groom’s place.
