What is an AMB transponder?
AMB / MyLaps Transponder Systems help race organizers to provide reliable and accurate race results. The AMB name is well-known to many racers, and many racing organizations still require “AMB Transponders.” MyLaps was originally the name of AMB’s website for posting race results.
How do you mount an AMB transponder?
According to AMB, the transponder should be attached vertically, no more than 2 feet above the track for cars. The transponder must have a clear view to the track with no metal or carbon fiber beneath it, and maximum operating temperature should not exceed 122 degrees Fahrenheit.

How long does a MyLaps transponder take to charge?
5 hours
It takes 5 hours to fully charge the TR2 transponder. When the transponder is in the cradle, the LED will be steady green. When the transponder is not in the cradle, the LED will blink green.
Why is my MyLaps transponder flashing red?
Answer. When charging the battery of your FLEX transponder, the LED on the transponder should be flashing red slowly (once per second). If the transponder is flashing red quickly (5 times per second), the subscription has expired. When the LED of the transponder is flashing green, this means the battery is full.
