You should plan on submitting twice, but you won’t be able to submit on consecutive cycles because the review process takes so long.

They each come up with a single score from 1 to 9 (again, 1 is the best), those numbers are averaged, and that average is multiplied by 10 to get your impact score, ranging between 10 and 90. The successful K99 applications that I’ve seen received scores of 20 or lower.
