What are the Robot Wars rules?
The robot must be able to be activated and de-activated by way of the removable link from outside the arena. Voltage must not exceed 75V for direct current or 50V for alternating current. Note that batteries may have a higher voltage during charging and care must be taken not to exceed these limits.
What are the rules for making a Battlebot?
Internal combustion systems must use a self-starter and fuel system must be well vented and protected to prevent explosions during combat. Pneumatic systems bust use Nitrogen gas and maximum storable pressure is 3000 psi. Each bot MUST have one independently powered weapon that can do serious damage to an opponent.
Is there a size limit on Battlebots?
There is no maximum size limit; however, your bot (or combination of bots) must be able to start the match from completely within the space of an 8′ x 8′ square. Batteries, high-pressure tanks, fuel tanks and fuel lines must be sufficiently protected.
What motors do BattleBots use?
Battlebots uses brushless motors for its robots due to the control and speeds that they posses. Note that the direction of the motor can be reversed by switching any 2 of the wires.

What weapons are banned in BattleBots?
Prohibited weaponry
- Radio jamming.
- High voltage electric discharge.
- Liquids (glue, oil, water, corrosives…)
- Fire (except in BattleBots)
- Explosives.
- Un-tethered projectiles (except in BattleBots from 2018 season onwards)
- Entanglement devices (except in Robot Wars from series 10 onwards)
- Lasers above 1 milliwatt.
Do you win money in BattleBots?
Each of the them have many knockouts and have smashed countless competitors before them. In each episode, challengers will compete for the right to become the Bounty Hunter and fight a Legend. The prize: a unique place in BattleBots history, and the major share of a $25,000 cash prize payout in every episode.
