Is Topanga beach good for surfing?
Topanga can be a real workable wave with plenty of challenging sections, but it never matches the shape of its cousin, Malibu. Topanga will take any swell, but it’s best on a big west.
Where can I park surf Topanga?
You can park in the parking lot on the west side of PCH for a daily fee, or as is always the case on PCH, you can park on the road for free. Ideally take the West side of the road so you will not have to cross while carrying your surfboard. No Fees!

This beach is not as big as others in the area, but I think it’s a valid alternative if you’re looking for a quieter place. There are people, of course, but it is not crowded and everybody seems to be respectful of the local quiet and there’s no yelling or such.
