How do IOUN stones work Pathfinder?
Ioun stones, also known as aeon stones, are magically charged gemstones that, when activated by an intelligent creature, levitate in a spinning manner around the head of its user. They have various effects, depending on the shape and color of the stone.
Can you have multiple IOUN stones Pathfinder?
The Ioun stones (DMG, 176) have no limitations on more than one being used, so you can absolutely do that! But they do require attunement, so unless you can attune to more than 3 items, you can only have 3 going at any given time (and no other magic items.)
How do you make an IOUN stone?
Ioun stones could only be created by a veteran spellcaster well versed in the crafting of wondrous magical items. Only certain types of gemstones could be transformed into an ioun stone through application of the appropriate and generally secret spells.

What do IOUN stones do?
An ioun stone, also capitalized Ioun stone, is a small, magical crystal which orbits the bearer’s head, conferring magical powers. A wide variety of different shapes and colors of ioun stone exist, each granting a different magical property. Ioun stones are rare, with some exceptional stones being unique.
Can you stack IOUN stones?
The only exception are untyped bonuses – they stack as often as they appear, as long as they have a different source. Circumstance bonuses are untyped, as are most penalties. All bonuses of Ioun Stones are typed differently in their respective articles, depending on the type of the stone in question.
