Can you ski from Stowe to Smugglers Notch?
The granddaddy of all interconnects, created in 1956, may be the trail between the top of Stowe’s Spruce Mountain and the summit of Sterling Mountain at Smugglers’ Notch. It’s still possible to ski both resorts the same day, although the experience is no longer encouraged by the two Vermont ski areas.
Is the notch open in Stowe 2021?
The state highway through Smugglers Notch is open again. April 19, 2021, at 10:04 a.m. Highway crews were removing the barriers and reopening Vermont Route 108, a narrow, windy mountain pass that runs between Stowe and Cambridge. The road is closed during the winter.

Does Smugglers notch have a gondola?
And in any case, Smugglers’ Notch, or “Smuggs” for short, is not part of any ski collective, so a different lift ticket is required for both. The gondola or the high-speed quad will whisk skiers and riders up 3,600 feet in no time, perhaps to those famous Front Four double-blacks.
Are Smugglers notch and Stowe the same mountain?
The Notch is created by the closed Route 108 that separates Stowe Mountain Resort with Smugglers’ Notch Ski Resort. Both ski areas offer completely different experiences— a Range Rover versus rusted old Subarus.
